Who is Katherine?
Ever since I can remember I have loved sharing in people’s lives and in helping people to reach their full potential. I truly believe that we all have the ability to do great things, but from my own experience I have learned that it is not always easy to do this on our own. Sometimes we all need a little help.
A passion for people, their stories and their lives can be found in all aspects of what I do. My background is in anthropology, the study of people and culture. I hold both a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Anthropology, with a focus in applied and medical anthropology. My research focused on women’s health and reproduction eventually leading to a thesis on surrogate mothers.
I worked for several years as a program and policy analyst with the Government of Canada’s Office of Literacy and Essential Skills. I enjoyed my work, but I found that I am at my best when I am coaching and mentoring.
My passion for people and coaching led me to study the Art and Science of Coaching with Erickson College International and I am a member of the International Coaching Federation
I enjoy living a balanced life full of the activities (running, cycling, swimming, tennis, yoga, and eating great food), and being with the people I love. Every day I wake up with a new sense of wonder at what the day is going to bring and how to keep moving forward. I push myself to act to make my own dreams into reality.
As your life coach I will be someone with whom you can share and foster ideas. I will create a respectful, safe and inspiring life coaching environment for you to work towards your goals and find the strength within yourself to reach your fullest potential.
